80 GB’s of Freedom

So i posted earlier about reviving a 4th generation iPod Photo 20GB that i had in pieces. Well, it didn’t go so well. after buying the necessary broken parts it still needed  a new hard drive, and a battery, and even then it wasn’t guaranteed to work. so i did what any sensible person would do and went on ebay! now, when i go on ebay you better watch out. i set out to find an iPod, between a 4th generation, 5th gen, and 6th gen. i set up a watch list with every iPod that was in decent working condition that wasn’t beat up too badly. after cutting the broken junk out of my search i had a decent sized list. i downloaded the ebay app on my iPhone and it sent me alerts every time something was ten minutes before the auction ended. i always liked the bulkiness of the 4th generation, as well as the simplicity of the components, all the parts are readily available for nothing. the 5th generation (and 5.5) added video playback which i thought would be cool with all the space a hard drive can afford. the 6th gen goes all the way up to 160gb which i would never fill, but i ended up settling on a really mint 6th generation 80gb. it shipped from california by air, and only took 3 days. BUT the person tossed it in an envelope with the receipt and thats it! it was shifting around loose all the way across the country, but it seems fine I’ve been using it all day. anyways- heres a few shots of my new music monster.
